Soul Forged Fodder Weapons
With the soon coming Soul Eater system, the desire to optimize and build the most advanced level 100 weapons will be a goal many share. To make this something that is a bit more balanced and easily adapted to the future of the game, I’ve created a new line of Weapons to be used as Fodder for these soul eaters. They will use a new X grading system with each one having a focus on certain level ranges.
New X Grades
To avoid confusion for the purpose of each of the new fodder weapons, they’ve been given new variants of the X grade. These items do not have passives or procs, however their sxp requirements are slightly reduced to make up for this. Additionally X grade enchants and other X grade related functions work as normal for these grades. The grade of these new items explain which slot of levels they are optimized for, so you know when the right time to feed them to your soul eaters are. These grades are as follows:
- LX - Low Optimized X - This grade is optimized for levels 0 - 30 and also maxes out at level 30. These are perfect for feeding to your soul eaters for the first, and fourth stat feedings.
- MX - Mid Optimized X - This grade is optimized for levels 31-40 and also maxes out at level 40. These require 10 successful limit breaks to achieve the levels 31-40 like normal X grade items. These are perfect for feeding to your soul eaters for the second and fifth stat feedings.
- HX - High Optimized X - this grade is optimized for levels 41-50 and also maxes out at 50. These require 20 successful limit breaks to achieve the levels 31-50 like normal XR grade items. These are perfect for feeding to your soul eaters for the third, sixth and seventh stat feedings.
Future Proofing of Soul Eaters
By feeding soul eaters a Fodder weapon, it allows updating the item as when new standards of stats come out, these fodder weapons will be upgraded to match. This will also cause any soul eaters who’ve eaten them to have their stats updated to match, giving them backwards compatibility.

Soul Forged Kiringku: INT / SP / PEN Focused

For those who have no clue what a soul eater is, it is an upcoming feature / type of equipment that gains power by eating other soul items. Initially the first series of them will be weapons, but eventually it will extend to armors and accessories as well. These items are very unique as they will different for each and every player based on what items they feed them. They will also max out at level 100 instead of 50 like XR items do.
